This week I had the pleasure of presenting Jurassic Parliament to Kate Plesha’s student government class at Roosevelt High School. It was great fun to show the students how to hold efficient, fair and democratic meetings using Robert’s Rules. They were enthusiastic participants, and allowed that they felt the tips and guidelines could be useful for their meetings. I felt particular joy in the volunteer gig because my late husband Lew was a Rough Rider. Roosevelt gave him a fine education and I am grateful.

If you have students who want an introduction to Robert’s Rules and parliamentary procedure, share this free PDF with them. It starts from the assumption that the reader is brand new to parliamentary procedure and Robert’s Rules, and explains how the whole system works. Your school students will appreciate it!
