Live Zoom Workshop – Newly Elected Survival Guide
Thursday, February 2 and November 16, 2023
10:00 am to 11:15 am Pacific time
As a newly elected officer or director, meetings can be challenging. This workshop will teach key concepts of Robert’s Rules so that you can make an impact from day one. Learn about the authority and role of the chair and members, four fundamental guidelines for effective meetings, what you can’t say at meetings, and what to do if you are shut down or your rights are violated.
Need the information right away? Take our self-paced course, available online 24/7 at this link.
This 75-minute workshop includes break-out groups to learn from colleagues and bonuses: recording of the workshop, extensive reference materials, and access to our self-paced online course. We will open the workshop 30 minutes early for casual networking. You can also tee up your questions for Ann at this time.
Your registration is personal to you. If others wish to attend, please register them separately. Because your registration includes access to the recording, refunds are not provided. Space is limited. Registration closes at 6 pm Pacific time on the Wednesday before the workshop.

I’ve served for five years on the Fayetteville Arkansas Public Library Board. I served at yesterday’s meeting as president for the first time. I found your Newly Elected Survival Course to be real confidence boost! I’ve participated as a board member, and officer. But chairing the meeting was daunting. I did fine! Thanks for your good work! It was a big help! Bret Park
