WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

In these turbulent times, the chair of a meeting needs to know how to control a meeting, while still giving each member of the body free opportunity for expression. Surprisingly, Robert's Rules of Order provides superb tools to do this.

Some groups say, "We decide everything by consensus," but that takes a lot of time! Robert's Rules is a very helpful structure that will allow for efficiency, full inclusion of all, and equity in your discussions.

AFTER TAKING THIS COURSE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO

• Describe how to conduct meetings as a “benevolent dictator.”
• State the correct action when fundamental guidelines are broken.
